Expansion plans for 2015

2015 is going to be our 4th year operating our glamping site and this year we are going to be expanding our site in a small and sympathetic way.  We are going to be offering 2 smaller yurts which will be suitable for 2 people as a romantic getaway, or additional room for guests staying in our larger yurts.  The new yurts have once again been imported from Mongolia and are traditionally decorated and styled.  We currently have a planning application lodged with South Hams District Council and we are awaiting their decision about removal of the 3 year temporary restriction that was placed on us when we originally started our business.  Since the application has been made in December last year its been reassuring to see how much support has been given by the other local businesses and local people.  In Devon and Cornwall the tourist industry plays a major part in sustaining the local economy and as such our yurt camp has brought over 1000 guests to the area over the past 3 years.  Hopefully the council's decision will support the need for more accommodation in this area that is affordable and caters for the needs of  tourists as well as bringing seasonal jobs for local people.
