![]() I am really hoping that Spring is well on its way. This winter has been the wettest winter since records began and everyone I have spoken to is looking forward to better weather in the near future. The air is much warmer today and one of my hens has decided to go broody, this is in my experience a very definite indication of better weather in about 3 weeks time, as that is how long it takes to incubate hens eggs. Hens are not very clever but they almost never want to go broody unless there is a good chance of raising their chicks. Chicks need warmth to survive, hence why I am thinking that the good weather is just around the corner! Today was a beautiful sunny day at the yurt camp and we are preparing to put up the yurts onto their bases in time for our first guests in a couple of weeks time.
