Well at last our first Yurt is finally sitting proudly on its new base. Putting up the yurt has been challenging to say the least, but I am really happy that all my family have helped in some way with getting it put up. The yurt is hand decorated with traditional Mongolian designs which are very beautiful and the time involved in painting must surely be considerable. The decorative covers have traditional designs in blue and compliment the orange painted wood work. The structure of the yurt is really organic with the original sheeps felt liners - it feels like it will be a very spiritual and peaceful place to sleep.

Lots of lovely chicks have been hatched over the past couple of days and the weather has been lovely and warm - very spring like with loads of daffodils and snowdrops in bloom. The first yurt has arrived all the way from Mongolia via Paris - its looking really gorgeous, hand painted with traditional Mongolian designs complete with hobbit door and decorated crown wheel. Can't wait to get it put up on its base...watch
