2014 has been a wonderful year for our yurt camp. We have welcomed people from all over the world to Hemsford Yurt camp and have enjoyed meeting and talking with people who choose to stay in a yurt whilst visiting this gorgeous part of Devon. We are very much looking forward to 2015 and welcoming new guests to our yurts. We have recently applied to the South Hams District Council for removal of the temporary condition placed on our planning approval from 2012, as having completed 3 successful years we are hoping to expand in a small way in 2015. We expect to have a decision before the 5th February 2015 and are hopeful that our application will be favourably considered by the council. Tourism is a very large part of the local industry particularly in this part of the UK, Devon and Cornwall rely on the many visitors each year to help with the economy and local trade. Hopefully we should have some news about our planning application soon. In the meantime we are taking bookings for 2015 and are really looking forward to welcoming new guests to Hemsford Yurt camp.
We love Christmas in our family and really look forward to a special time of year when the house is full of the smell of a real tree, and we entertain all the family for a lovely traditional Roast Turkey lunch on Christmas day. My own sons are now grown ups but they all still live at home at present and there is nothing nicer than sharing special times with our offspring at Christmas. I hope that all our guests will have a peaceful time and a happy new year!
