Well October has brought us some rather miserable wet weather although there are still lots of visitors to the yurt camp. The latest visitors, last weekend brought their musical instruments, guitars and harmonica and serenaded the horses into the evening and sunset, Ellie the shetland was the most curious - she loves the blues!!! The guests were lucky as the skies cleared and the evening was a beautiful autumnal one with a huge dark and starry sky, with a lovely roaring camp fire, and a cosy and welcoming yurt with the wood burning stove making sure they were snug and warm over night. Earlier on Saturday morning the guests were treated to a picturesque view in the bottom chicken meadow where the 2 juvenile swans were swimming elegantly in the river Hems which burst its banks with the deluge that had occured overnight.
