Over the last couple of weeks the sunny weather has seemed to disappear and been replaced by some autumn weather and some rain. This has not deterred our guests and we have been full of happy glampers making the most of any illusive sunshine. I am delighted to hear in the weather forecast that summer is actually going to return next week in time for the end of the school holidays. Many of our more mature guests actually prefer to stay with us out of school holidays as the local attractions are much quieter and the end of the school holidays brings much less traffic on the main routes into Devon and Cornwall. The local foxes have been active again and this week we managed to catch one young fox cub in our humane trap - see picture above. This was a fox cub who was rather surprised to find himself stuck in our trap and as he was a cub we have let him go free. I love this picture as it shows his beautiful ginger eyes, and an honest expression. As I write this we have not had any recent fox attacks on our hens, so I am really hoping that I will not regret setting this handsome creature free!
