![]() The sun is out and the temperature is rising, this week has seen our first visitors from Australia, this is definitely the furthest distance anyone has traveled to get to our yurt camp. The lovely sunshine is set to stay with us all over the weekend and the guests in the yurt camp over the past week have been treated to a lovely clear sky each night and warm and humid days. The elderflowers are all in bloom right now and fill the air with their heady scent. They are all just ready for picking to make some home made wine. Elderflower wine is lovely, light and refreshing, or for those who prefer non alcoholic drinks elderflower cordial can be made from the flowers too. The fields and hedgerows surrounding the yurt camp are full of edible plants, flowers and berries, and anyone interested in foraging for their supper would have a large variety to choose from. Wild strawberries are out now in the hedges, and the wild garlic has faded now.
