![]() This week was quite an unusual event in that it was a full moon on Friday 13th, something that will not happen again until 2049. The moon was spectacular to see, unfortunately my pictures were not that brilliant!!! The sun has been shining at the yurt camp for the last week and the weather has been perfect for a night in a yurt. There has also been plenty of wildlife activity in and around the camp and lake with at least 6 different badgers visiting the surrounding fields over the course of one night - captured on our wildlife camera (Pro stalk 5000). The lake is also still home to the Canada Geese and their 4 now very large goslings, there are also moor hen chicks, and mallard ducklings to be seen. I spent a very lovely hour yesterday by the lakeside just watching all the comings and goings with the dragonflies and damsel flies flitting, and swallows and house martins swooping to drink also this year has seen a population explosion of rabbits and some have even dug their warren in the bank of the lake.
