Clover circle at the yurt camp
The first day of June has brought unbroken sunshine to the yurt camp. This week has seen a mixed bunch of weather starting with some rain, but finishing with the finest weather you could ask for over the past couple of days. The yurt camp is looking lovely in the sunshine with all the buttercups in bloom in the adjacent meadow. Our guests have enjoyed clear skies and warm days and evenings. Its the perfect weather for having a barbecue and a camp fire. Some of our guests this half term week week have been visiting some of our gorgeous local beaches, at Blackpool Sands and Bigbury. Kitty the yurt camp cat has also been enjoying lots of attention from our guests too. The Canada geese on our lake have hatched 4 goslings which are growing very rapidly. This time last year we had noticed a huge number of tadpoles in our lake but this year there are seemingly none about. Maybe the prolonged and cool winter has made the breeding season later. Our clover conservation circle in the yurt camp is now attracting a great number of local bees and insects. Here is hoping the weather stays throughout the summer!
