Autumn is my favourite season with warm days, leaves falling and making a stunning visual display of rustic colours. This October we have seen a spectacular festival of fungi in the fields adjoining the yurt camp. We have now taken down our yurts for the winter and they are safely stored in our barns. We are fortunate that our small team are well experienced in both yurt building and deconstructing and we can get the yurts safely off their bases within one day. I once heard a yurt described as a good marriage - treat them well and they will last a lifetime!!! The local planning restrictions mean that we are unable to have guests stay through the winter even though we have many inquiries for this time of year. The yurts will however be ready for more guests from March 2015. We have already taken several bookings for next year which is lovely with lots of guests returning again for another stay. Autumn this year has been mild and warm and the fields are looking very green and lush. We are preparing for next season already and we are hoping to add an additional yurt to our camp for next summer.
